Session 007 - Beneath Redmark

Rhaegar joined the active party at The Bent Wheel, and the five companions left Brindleford by the Hunter Trail. After crossing the dangerous western ridge, they defeated three ogres attacking an abandoned windmill and rescued a scavenger who had stolen a red-glass Resonant Remnant from Redmark Keep.

From the ridge, the party identified an old runoff cut below Redmark's guarded western gate. Concealed by magic, they reached and quietly opened the forgotten Drainage Culvert.

The route led through abandoned lower waterworks. The party fought gelatinous cubes in a scoured sluice basin and recovered a +1 halberd, a Candle of the Deep, military salvage, and another Resonant Remnant from a sealed armory locker.

In a flooded maintenance gallery, ghouls, a ghast, and a carrion crawler attacked from among old Redmark dead. After surviving the crawler's paralytic tentacles, the party recovered an old payroll, relief supplies, tools, a maintenance key, and another red-gold Resonant Remnant.

The final chamber held three rusted valves. Two relieved the pressure while the center wheel released the gate. By holding all three mechanisms in the proper state, the party opened the way into an old supply-lift shaft.

The party ended the session at the broken service rise beneath Redmark Keep. Red-gold light pulses through the stone, and heavy movement can be heard in the halls above.
